Yes. The app is free to install from Google Play, there is no trial period and no subscription. TDM is funded by advertising shown inside the app. Google Play lists the app as containing ads and having no in-app purchases.

No. TDM has no registration, no login and no email requirement. Open it and start downloading.

The Google Play listing states the requirement and checks your specific device before showing the Install button, so if the listing lets you install, your device is supported.

Not at the moment. TDM is an Android application only. No iOS or Windows app is published under this name — if you find one, it did not come from the publisher.

Two ways: paste the file URL after tapping the + button in the app, or use the Share menu in your browser or another app and choose TDM. The user guide walks through both.

No. TDM is a general-purpose file transfer tool. It does not remove or bypass digital rights management, and it is not built to extract media from streaming services. Downloading copyrighted material without the rights holder's permission is prohibited by the acceptable use policy and may be illegal where you live.

Anything you have the right to obtain: firmware and driver files, PDFs, course material and e-books you own, your own cloud backups and data exports, podcast episodes, open-licence media, archives from a file host, and large files that your browser struggles with.

Sometimes, and it depends on the server. Splitting a file across several connections helps when the server limits speed per connection. It does not help when the limit is per user or when your own connection is already saturated. No fixed percentage improvement is claimed anywhere, because no honest one exists.

In your device storage, in the folder set in the app settings. Files are yours and stay local — TDM has no cloud component and never uploads what you download.

Network access to fetch files, storage access to write them to your device and list what you have already saved. The complete list, with Google's own descriptions, is in the Data safety section of the Play listing.

The app does not require an account and does not upload your files. Like most free apps it uses an advertising SDK, which processes some technical and advertising identifiers. What is collected and why is set out in the Data safety section on Google Play and in the Privacy Policy.

There is currently no paid ad-free tier. The app is designed so ads stay out of the download list itself rather than interrupting you mid-task.

Android's battery optimisation is suspending the app. Go to Android Settings → Apps → TDM → Battery and allow unrestricted background activity.

Yes, choose the target directory in the app settings. On some Android versions apps have limited write access to removable storage; if the SD card folder is rejected, that restriction is coming from Android, not from TDM.

There is none, and installing one would be unwise. TDM should be installed from Google Play only. Files offered elsewhere under the TDM name are not published by DevMax Inc., are not signed with its key and should not be trusted.
